The Waikato Regional Hazards Portal is now the “go to” for accessing natural hazard information, including flooding, for the Waikato Region. The portal contains all of the information normally included in a ‘Flood Hazard Information Summary Report’, so we ask that you:

  • 1. View the portal before submitting a request below;
  • 2. Access the currently available WRC hazards data for use or download from the Co-Lab data portal here.
  • 3. Access the currently available district council hazards data for use or download from the Co-Lab data portal here.
  • 4. Only submit a request if you have specific questions resulting from the portal information.
  • 5. Flood levels can still be requested using the form below - first, use the portal to see whether flood level information is available.

We recommend that you also contact the relevant District Council as they may hold additional information, including on minimum floor level requirements, stormwater, overland flow paths and surface flooding/ponding.
